All’s Said And Done

Just another bum on the street
And he’s worthless to anyone.
No home, no job, no spouse;
Smells like he hasn’t bathed in months.
Doesn’t seem like he’s much of a man
As he leans against the wall.
But he knows the meaning of life:
He knows there’s no meaning at all,
When all’s said and done…
Just another guy in a suit,
And he has a well paying job.
Making some corporation richer,
He’s just another white-collar snob.
And when he sees all the homeless out there,
He’s thankful for his ceiling and walls.
But to me, you’re all one and the same.
Your lives have no meaning at all
When all’s said and done…
Just another bag lady out there,
And she’s worthless to anyone.
No home, no job, no spouse;
Smells like she hasn’t bathed in months.
Doesn’t seem like she’s much of a woman
As she gets kicked out of the mall.
But she knows the meaning of life.
She knows there’s no meaning at all,
When all’s said and done…
Just another guy in a truck
And he has a well-paying job.
Making some corporation richer,
He’s just another blue-collar slob.
And when he sees all the homeless out there,
He wishes someone would kill them all.
But to me, you’re all one and the same.
Your lives have no meaning at all.
When all’s said and done…
